The Journey of Estevanico the Black: Search for the Seven Cities of Gold - An American Hero (a.k.a.) Voices of Arizona: A Story Rarely Told
America's First African Explorer: This incredible musical tale highlights the early days of Spanish-American history and African-American history. Learn about Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca and Estevanico the Black, a Moor from Azamor, Morocco. They make a remarkable eight-year odyssey across the continent. This marks Estevanico's pioneering trek as one of the early explorers into Arizona and New Mexico. Their journey predates Coronado's exploration of the Southwest.
